When I first watched Across the Spider-Verse my brain was FLOODED with inspiration and finally, FINALLY, I created my spidersona!! Vale, the Azure Spider, was officially created somewhere between the very end of April to May 2024, I can't remember the exact date, but she has since then been the character I believe I've put the most work on! I genuinely love her so much, she's so special to me, I put so much love and effort into developing her and I really hope it shows 🥺💙 She's my absolute pride and joy and I poured an ungodly amount of hours into her lore, her story, her development, trying my very best and expanding on everything as time went on! She genuinely makes me so proud and she has a very special place in my heart

Vale (her real name is Alessa Russo, but she uses "Vale" as her chosen name) is the Spider-Hero of Earth-8979, known as the Azure Spider! She protects her solarpunk/solarcore universe's version of New York which is called Saint Nova, a portmanteau of New York and São Paulo, and was recruited into Spider-Society roughly 5 years after being bitten by a radioactive tarantula! Her canon event was her aunt's death, which happened 1 year after she got her powers. Straight after being recruited Vale and Miguel clashed due to their opposing and conflicting personalities, since her silly and extroverted demeanor contrasted with Miguel's more stern and no-nonsense attitude; but even then both respected eachother (begrudgingly on Miguel's side at first) and relied on one another to fullfil assignments and missions for the Multiverse's sake. Vale was intrigued about the Spider-Society's leader and decided to spend as much time as she could in his company, even if he was very openly against it.
With time spent in his company Vale grew fond of Miguel's grumpy but responsible self and learned more about him and the reasons for him to be the way he was, just like Miguel eventually (after a LOT of reluctance and denial) warmed up to Vale and her jokes, finding some sort of unexpected comfort in the fact that she was always willing to stay by his side even when he dismissed her rudely, burdened by his responsibilities and unwilling to let himself get close to anyone. Both of them developed their relationship through mutual trust and by sharing their own vulnerabilities with eachother as time went on, leaning on one another to find comfort even if through actions more than through words at first! Vale learned to not hide behind a smile all the time as she usually did and Miguel learned to lower his guard around her, grateful that Vale encourages him to take a moment to breathe, to embrace some levity and to enjoy some human connection; and he's also grateful that she provides him with a gentle and warm kind of attention he's desperately starved of.
Their bond is deep and strong, and together they learned to overcome their loneliness and embrace the unexpected
They are everything to me your honor... 
Everywhere I look I see them, everything reminds me of them... I have so much love in my heart for them, they're my OTP, my favorite ship, my most powerful OCxCanon ship... I can't live without them 😭💙 I have genuinely been hyperfixated on them for over two years now, and still going strong!! I love thinking about them, their dynamic, I love listening to songs I associate with them, I love writing about them and gushing about them, I love drawing them and commissioning amazing artists to draw them 
It genuinely makes me so happy to see them and think about them, and I hope people also enjoy seeing them!!

One of my favorite things about developing their ship was working with the contrasts, which is something SO fun to work with in couples!! While they're not necessarily complete opposites they have a lot of distinctions between eachother, physical or not, contrasts that work so beautifully when put together... The beauty of exploring love and romance in two different people is something I love doing so much, seeing how things match, how they combine, how they react to eachother, it's so satisfying and wonderful to work with! The're so much beauty in our differences as people and developing their ship and exploring these differences was genuinely so much fun and it makes me so happy For instance I am absolutely hopeless about the difference in their skintones, it's something so simple but that works so beautifully, I love seeing them together and admiring their differences so much, I could ramble about it forever... 💙💙💙
They're so special to me. You'll catch me being crazy about them any day of the week until the day I die 
I'm very proud of all the work I put into Vale and her lore and I'll happily keep working on her and their ship!
